SEESHA’s geographic reach extends to over 16 States in India, where lakhs of lives are being transformed through a range of development initiatives.

Community Advancement Programmes

Our major areas of activity are through our Community Advancement Programmes (CAP), which aim to adopt communities and strategically transform into “smart villages” through step-by-step and holistic intervention methods. Our CAP areas include:

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Our Community Advancement Programme in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu covers 12 villages of in the Thondamuthur Block.

Moreover, SEESHA has the following institutional set-ups in Karunya Nagar, Coimbatore, which cater to the communities in the region:
Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu

Our Community Advancement Programme in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu covers 9 villages of Annagaramam Block and 1 gypsy colony.

Moreover, SEESHA also provides nutritional and psycho-social support for children living with HIV in the Annagramam block.

Vanagaram, Tamil Nadu

Our Community Advancement Programme in Vanagaram, Tamil Nadu covers 5 semi-urban communities and 1 gypsy colony.

Moreover, SEESHA jointly with National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) caters to the differently-abled in this region through an Extension Centre, which acts as a day-care and provides special education and necessary therapy.

Ranchi, Jharkhand

Our Community Advancement Programme in Ranchi, Jharkhand covers 4 slum communities.

Vyara, Gujarat

Our Community Advancement Programme in Vyara, Gujarat covers 8 rural communities.

Gadag, Karnataka

Our newest Community Advancement Programme is located in Gadag, Karnataka and covers the community of 76 Plots, Ashrayah colony.

OTHER PROJECT AREAS

Through a range of individual projects in the area of child development, youth development, women empowerment, senior citizen care, SEESHA works in various communities across India. The nodal centres for these individual projects are tuition centres for children, computer training centres for youth and vocational training centres for women. Moreover, SEESHA financially supports widows, senior citizens, differently-abled persons, school and college-going students and Orphanages/Children’s Homes. Our widest reach is through our School Kit and New Clothes projects, which reach out to 1000,000 children.

MEDICAL OUTREACH

In addition to the above communities, SEESHA organises medical and surgical camps in North East India.
