SEESHA’S New clothes distribution inaugural for the year 2019 was organized at two locations Coimbatore and Chennai on 20th December & 21st December 2019 respectively. The New Clothes distribution inauguration events this year were named – ‘Joy of Giving’, during which SEESHA gifted new clothes to over 1500 needy children from downtrodden section of the society and various welfare benefits to women, differently-abled, visually-challenged, trainees and transgender persons.

New Clothes Distribution at Coimbatore

At the inaugural event at Coimbatore on December 20th 2019, SEESHA’s Founder Dr.Paul Dhinakaran presidedthe ‘Joy of Giving’ and gifted new clothes to more than 500 underprivileged children living in villages around Coimbatore.

The District Disability welfare officer Mr.Thangamani along with Malaysian para Olympic officials took part in the event as guest of Honour.

Apart from new clothes to the needy children, sewing machines were distributed to 5 disadvantaged women from extremely poor communities, who successfully completed the 6 months duration vocational training course in tailoring conducted by SEESHA. Also, livelihood assistance & educational support materialswere distributed to selected visually-challenged persons and tribal community people during the event.

Dr.Paul Dhinakaran spoke at the event and encouraged everyone to sow the seeds of love in the society to overcome evil & hatred and spoke thatlove can heal people and bring hope in every situation.Sis.Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran offered a prayer of Blessing.Bro.Samuel Paul Dhinakaran, Dr.Shilpa Samuel, Sis.Stella Ramola also distributed new clothes to the little children.

Children’s cultural programs were organized during the function. The event was attended by more than 1000 people. Dr MannarJawahar - Vice Chancellor of Karunya Deemedto be University & Dr.Elijah Blessing - Registrar, Adv. Easwaradhas,Trustee-SEESHA , Supreme court Advocate Mr.Jaikumar also participated in the event.

New Clothes Distribution at Chennai

It was a grand celebration of the ‘Joy of Giving’ at Dr.D.G.S. Dhinakaran Salai, Chennai, spreading happiness, cheer & carving smiles on the faces of the needy children, disadvantaged women, the differently-abled and transgender persons, when Mrs. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran, Mr. Samuel Paul Dhinakaran and Dr. Shilpa Dhinakaran inaugurated the annual New Clothes distribution for the needy children across India on December 21, 2019. Earlier, Mr. Samuel Paul Dhinakaran, Trustee - Karunya Deemed to be University, presided over the new clothes distribution function and shared the Word of blessing.

Apart from new clothes to the 1000 needy children, sewing machines were distributed to 8 disadvantaged women from extremely poor communities who successfully completed the 6 months duration vocational training course in tailoring conducted by SEESHA. To support the rehabilitation of differently-abled persons, assistive device (Retro-fitted motor vehicle) was distributed during the event. Under SEESHA’s livelihood development to support transgender community, livelihood assistance was distributed to two transgender persons. Course completion certificates were distributed to 50 trainees who completed the job-oriented vocational training courses conducted by SEESHA.

SEESHA’s Trustee Adv. Easwaradhas, SEESHA’s Chief Operating Officer Dr. J. Samuel Thomas along with SEESHA staff, children and the general public participated in the event.Children’s cultural programs were organized during the function. The event was well-received and appreciated by all, especially by the beneficiaries and their families.
